No, we don’t supply or fit electronic smart locks to doors, as we prefer to rely on high-security, mechanical anti-snap locks for ultimate physical protection. However, we do install Ring video doorbells and can securely mount them to your external wall or door frame to help get your smart home security up and running.
No, a smart doorbell is a fantastic tool for video surveillance and deterrence, but it doesn’t provide physical security. To truly protect your home, a Ring doorbell should always be paired with high-quality, physical locks—such as a British Standard Ultion cylinder or an anti-snap lock—fitted professionally to the door itself.
They are excellent for catching activity on camera and discouraging opportunistic thieves. However, many break-ins on composite or UPVC doors happen via “lock snapping” at the handle. For total peace of mind, we recommend using your Ring camera to monitor the front garden, while letting us secure the physical entry point with a certified, snap-resistant lock.
If your key breaks in the lock, it’s best not to try and extract it yourself, as this can often push the broken piece further in or damage the lock. We recommend calling us immediately. We have the specialised tools and expertise to safely remove the broken key and repair or replace the lock if necessary.
